Subject: SRP Process Change Reminder
Importance: High
Hello Everyone,
First, we would like to thank you for your assistance and patience as we update the application processes associated with our Residential EarthWise Solar Programs. For the most part, it has been a fairly smooth transition. However, there are a few areas within each program that need to be addressed.
We understand this is a long e-mail and request that you take time to read through it in its entirety so that you are familiar with our processing requirements for both the solar electric program and the solar water heating program.
Residential Solar Electric Program
- All applications and application addendums must be completed on the new forms available on our website (www.srpnet.com/solar). We will not accept application revisions unless they are provided on the new application addendum forms.
- In order to assist in timely application processing, please include e-mail addresses for all appropriate entities (i.e., customer, dealer, and installer).
- Any changes to third party incentive assignments must be submitted on the appropriate form available in the application, and must be signed by the customer and the third party.
- With regards to City Clearances, please contact our group regarding any issues or questions rather than contacting the City Clearance Desk. The City Clearance Desk has limited resources and their time needs to focus on processing the clearances. We are happy to answer any questions related to clearances.
- City Clearances must be submitted in one of three ways: (1) the municipality can call the clearance in to our Clearance Desk; (2) the municipality can e-mail the clearance to our Clearance Desk (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.); or (3) the municipality can fax the clearance to our Clearance Desk (602-629-8485).
- In Lieu of City Clearance Documents must be submitted to the Clearance Desk either by e-mail or fax (see bullet point above).
- Once your installation has passed city inspection, please contact the EarthWise Solar representative that is assigned to your installation. They will coordinate final commissioning of the system once they have verified that the City Clearance is on file.
- All future Exhibit A forms must be in the new format. Copies of the Exhibit A document will be sent with the ICA directly to the customer so that they can sign and return all documents at once. If your customer has already submitted an Exhibit A form, we will accept this form without requiring a new one.
- With regards to final commissioning, we can no longer schedule commissioning within 2 business days before and after the meter reading date associated with a customer's bill due to interferences with the customer's billing statement. This may delay commissioning up to 10 calendar days.
- The Installation Certification, City Clearance, and In-Lieu of City Clearance Documents should not be signed or submitted prior to the installation of the actual system. If these documents pre-date the installation of the system, they will be returned.
Residential Solar Water Heating Program
- Beginning immediately, all applications and application addendums must be on the updated forms and comply with the new application process (refer to www.srpnet.com/solar). SRP will no longer make any exceptions to this requirement. Any applications received from this date forward that are on the old application forms will be returned to the Customer with instructions to complete the new form.
- In order to assist in timely application processing, please include e-mail addresses for all appropriate entities (i.e., customer, dealer, and installer).
- All future Exhibit A forms must be in the new format. SRP will send a copy of the Exhibit A document directly to the customer. If your customer has already submitted an Exhibit A form, we will accept this form without requiring a new one.
- As a reminder, the final invoice must include the customer's name and address, system description (including make and model number), actual installation date, cost, and must document that the invoice has been paid in full. Any other type of invoice will be considered a quote and will only be used to reserve the incentive.
- The Installation Certification, City Clearance, and In-Lieu of City Clearance Documents should not be signed or submitted prior to the installation of the actual system. If these documents pre-date the installation of the system, they will be returned.
If you have any questions about the information covered in this e-mail or about our programs in general, please contact us via e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
